Paid internships, staff education and leadership development: three great reasons to apply for a Parker Center Quellhorst Scholarship

The Rev. Ralph and Sue Quellhorst Fund for Leadership Development promotes the transformational benefits of education and professional development. Current employees of United Church Homes can apply for education scholarships. Students may qualify for a paid internship in a United Church Homes community.

Based on the availability of funds, scholarships support:

  • Staff education and leadership development (non-degree opportunities)
  • Pastoral leadership development (CPE and Field Placement opportunities)
  • Minority Leadership development
  • Professional internships (for undergraduate and graduate students)

How to Qualify

United Church Homes staff education and leadership development

  • Must be a full time or part-time employee of United Church Homes with one full year of service in an eligible employment status.
  • Must have the endorsement of an immediate supervisor for professional development or continuing education opportunity.

United Church Homes staff education and leadership development

  • Must be a current or prospective student in the Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) program of United Church Homes.
  • Must be a seminary student or ordained pastor seeking experience working in a senior living setting.
  • Must have endorsement of a faculty advisor, field placement office and pastoral staff at the ministry setting.
