NEXT Steps: Re-imagining Your Elderhood

Event Information

Offered in partnership with the Ruth Frost Parker Center for Abundant Aging and the Walker Leadership Institute of Eden Seminary, NEXT Steps is a gathering for adults contemplating or entering retirement and for those who are recently retired. All program activities encourage individual self-discovery — helping you develop a personal plan for the next chapter of life. NEXT Steps participants follow a 16-week process of self-discovery through readings, presentations, small group discussions and discernment. All classes meet via ZOOM.

By the end of the course, you will have developed a vision and a plan for this new and meaningful phase of life: your elderhood.

Rev. Beth Long-Higgins, Rev. Steve Lawler, and Jill Schantz invite you to an optional brief orientation to the course and introduction to the instructors.

This meeting covers logistics, introduces the instructors, and helps get your NEXT Steps experience off to a great start.

The cost for the program is $500. Financial Assistance is available; email Jill Schantz at [email protected] for information.

Questions? Please contact Steve Lawler at [email protected] or Jill Schantz at [email protected].
