Did you know?
Thinking positively about getting older can extend one’s life by 7.5 years!
(study by Dr. Becca Levy, Yale professor & researcher)
Your attitude about aging matters!
Everyone is aging and while many cultures celebrate and venerate their elders, in Western cultures looking younger is an obsession with physical signs of aging often viewed with disgust. Why is it that so many of us tend to change the number when someone asks our age? What are your attitudes about aging and what messages influence those attitudes? We will look at ageism, its negative consequences, and how to disrupt the discrimination of ageism. Be prepared to change how you think about aging and celebrate the fact that today, you are another day older!
During these four one-hour convos, we’ll talk, see videos, consider the negative effects of ageism and discover how we can truly look more positively at our own aging
