About the Center

The Parker Center is a unique education and advocacy initiative inspired by the spirit of Ruth Frost Parker, whose vision and generosity continues to inspire and impact so many. The Center is a joyful, spiritually vibrant, multigenerational, multicultural community where individuals and organizations discover the riches of abundant living. We are devoted to an inclusive society that works to conquer ageism.

The Parker Center is a donor-sponsored program of United Church Homes—a registered Ohio nonprofit organization. All donations are tax deductible to the fullest extent allowed by the law.

Learn about aging: Explore our educational opportunities for everyone — older adults, faith-based and secular audiences, professionals or students who work with older adults and anyone interested in learning about aging.

The Abundant Aging Podcast offers ideas, information, and inspiration on how to improve our lives as we grow older.

Another Day Older

Offers a free, downloadable curriculum for gatherings that spark conversation about ageism and challenges individuals to reframe their attitudes toward aging.

Abundant Aging Blog

This blog includes essays by clergy and others on topics that consider the experience of aging through the lens of faith. Each blog has questions for individual/small group reflection.

Offered with Eden Seminary. The non-academic 14-week process of self-discovery introduces theological, philosophical and psychological concepts of vocation and aging. For adults entering retirement and those who are retired.

Wisdom Conversations

In-person and online gatherings for clergy and lay leaders to discuss aging issues in the context of congregational life with an associated Facebook group, Abundant Aging Ministries with Older Adults Network.

This annual event addresses a wide range of topics around maintaining health and wellness for people in the Queer community.
